For years, Bali has been ‘the star’ of Indonesian tourism, drawing-in significant waves of both domestic and international tourist arrivals. This consistent tide has sparked the development of upcoming destinations throughout Indonesia, including those curated by the ITDC (InJourney Tourism Development Corporation).
It all began early in the 1990s, when the ITDC established The Nusa Dua Bali, setting a new standard for tourism destinations and events in Indonesia. As Bali’s allure grew, so did the desire for original experiences and attractions beyond the traditional hotspots.
Currently, the ITDC showcases three stunning destinations: The Nusa Dua Bali, The Mandalika Lombok, and The Golo Mori Bajo, aiming at offering sustainable, integrated tourism complexes with fresh and exciting approaches.
This trio appeals to travellers looking for off-the-beaten-path adventures whilst still enjoying the convenience of Bali’s proximity. Most importantly, Indonesia can broaden its tourism landscape, gradually reducing its reliance on Bali alone through new and intriguing destinations.
Now, let’s take a closer look at these three remarkable locations developed by the ITDC.
