Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Kei Islands, a hidden gem with tranquil beaches, powdery white sands and dazzling turquoise waters. This stunning collection of islands are part of the Maluku Islands and one of the genuine unspoilt treasures of Eastern Indonesia, slowly making itself known to those seeking a tropical paradise away from the crowds.

Made up of two main islands (Kei Besar and Kei Kecil), as well as a collection of other small islands, the Kei Islands are located close to Northern Australia, so at certain times of the year you may even spot migrating pelicans from Australia stopping-by. With warm and welcoming locals, you’ll feel right at home, as you soak in a holiday experience that feels uniquely different to other areas of Indonesia.
Set aside 3-days and 2-nights to fully enjoy the beauty of the surrounding beaches, culture and enchanting caves that the Kei Islands have to offer.

How to Get There

Currently you are only able to fly there directly from Pattimura Airport in Ambon (AMQ). If you’re coming from Bali, for instance, it will involve four connections – from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta (CGK), then on to Pattimura Airport in Ambon, and finally on to Langgur.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal time to visit the Kei Islands is from October to April, when the weather is drier and the seas are calmer, making it perfect for beach activities, snorkelling and diving. The humidity remains high throughout the year, as you’d expect in a tropical paradise.
