Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya celebrated its third anniversary with a series of events highlighting Indonesian culinary and cultural heritage. The celebration began with Pesta Rasa, a Surabaya Lodeh Festival involving 120 PKK mothers and local communities, followed by the Threasure Anniversary Gala Dinner on 8 May 2026 at Janaloka Ballroom. Carrying the theme “Warisan Nusantara”, the hotel presented a memorable celebration through the signature hospitality of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya.
Pesta Rasa by Whizteria
Held on Wednesday, 7 May 2026 at Janaloka Ballroom, Pesta Rasa by Whizteria was organised in collaboration with She Radio Surabaya. The event featured the Festival Lodeh Porong, celebrating one of Surabaya’s traditional dishes through a creative competition involving 30 PKK and community teams.
Each team, consisting of four participants, prepared homemade Lodeh Porong and presented it with creative plating and table decoration. The judging focused on taste, side dishes, and presentation aesthetics. The event aimed to encourage creativity while introducing Surabaya’s culinary heritage to a wider audience, including Giri Raos Restaurant’s signature menu, Lodeh Porong. The competition was won by the Mom Love Cooking community from Surabaya.
The event was further enlivened by She Radio Surabaya through interactive activities, chants, and a fashion show. The judging panel included Ibu Asrilia and Mas Yosan from She Radio Surabaya, alongside Chef Eri and Bapak Teguh Muliawan, General Manager of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya.
“This competition is not simply about winning. It is about togetherness, our love for Indonesian cuisine, and the spirit of mothers who continue to create and inspire with endless passion. Threasure – 3rd Anniversary Gala Dinner
The anniversary celebration continued with the Threasure Gala Dinner on Friday, 8 May 2026 at Janaloka Ballroom. The name Threasure, combining the words Three and Treasure, reflected the hotel’s appreciation for clients, government partners, communities, influencers, and media who have supported the hotel over the past three years.
The evening featured traditional dance performances by Sanggar Sribomantoro, followed by a Nusantara-themed angklung performance by La Femina Angklung, an all-female ensemble consisting of 28 performers. Guests were welcomed into an atmosphere celebrating Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage.
The gala dinner was attended by Bapak Teguh Muliawan, General Manager of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya, and Bapak David Hosea representing Intiland Grande. The celebration included speeches of appreciation, a thanksgiving ceremony, and the traditional tumpeng cutting procession.
One of the evening’s highlights was the official launch of the hotel’s mascot, Whizie, a teddy bear mascot wearing a Whiz Luxe t-shirt. Accompanied by a performance from Sugar Daddy Band, the mascot symbolised the hotel’s fresh new chapter, with a stronger focus on families and children.
During the Awarding Night session, the hotel presented seven categories of awards to selected partners and clients in recognition of their contribution and trust over the past year. Each recipient received an exclusive Whizie doll, certificate, and commemorative frame as a token of appreciation.
