Vagabond Brings an Expressive, Personality-Led Cocktail Bar to Jakarta’s Tastemakers

Jakarta’s nightlife scene welcomes a new cocktail destination, Vagabond, a personality-driven bar inspired by global bar culture, creative expression, and human connection. Located on the 25th floor of Multivision Tower in Kuningan, South Jakarta, the bar introduces its philosophy of “Not one place, but many moments”, offering an atmosphere that evolves throughout the night.

Designed with intention rather than trends, Vagabond focuses on mood, energy, and connection. Early evenings invite guests to enjoy craft cocktails in an elegant setting, while music gradually builds a vibrant nightlife atmosphere.

Vagabond is co-founded by globally recognised mixologist Michael Callahan, whose career spans Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. He works alongside General Manager Payman Bahmani-Bailey, an experienced hospitality professional who has worked across major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Taipei, and Singapore. Together, they shape a bar experience centred on genuine hospitality, where the team responds naturally to the energy of each night.

At the heart of the concept is a cocktail programme featuring 12 signature drinks alongside modern classics and rotating collaborations. The menu also includes shared punch bowls that revive the tradition of communal drinking. The cocktails are designed to be expressive and conversation-starting, combining creativity with strong storytelling.

Beyond drinks, Vagabond serves as a stage for artistic expression. The venue hosts DJs, curated music experiences, and interactive rituals that shift the mood throughout the evening, creating a dynamic and immersive atmosphere.

Rather than competing with the city’s nightlife, Vagabond positions itself as a distinctive addition — refined yet relaxed, worldly yet welcoming. It offers a space for guests who value atmosphere, connection, and memorable nights that feel personal and unrepeatable.
