Umana Bali, part of LXR Hotels & Resorts, has appointed Nicolas Kassab as its new General Manager as the cliffside resort enters its next stage of growth. With more than 20 years of international experience in luxury hospitality, Nicolas will lead daily operations, team development, and guest experience strategy at the award-winning property.
His appointment reflects Hilton’s continued focus on purposeful leadership across its LXR portfolio, with an emphasis on authenticity, service excellence, and cultural connection.

“I am honoured to join a team that has already created such a meaningful sense of place here in Bali,” said Nicolas. “I look forward to nurturing the team’s talent, elevating the everyday guest journey, ensuring that Umana Bali continues to offer something truly personal and memorable for travellers new to Bali, as well as for those returning for a deeper connection.”
Nicolas previously served as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Suzhou, where he oversaw its successful opening and positioned it as a leading luxury destination in Greater China. He has also held senior roles with Marriott International across Asia Pacific, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Maldives. Known for his collaborative leadership style, Nicolas has been recognised for launching award-winning dining concepts and lifestyle programming that resonate with international travellers.

Umana Bali, the first LXR property in South East Asia, features 72 private villas, five dining destinations, and a wellness offering inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. Signature highlights include Oliverra’s fire-led Mediterranean cuisine, Uma Beach House’s elevated beachfront setting, and Lohma Spa’s spiritual sanctum.
Under Nicolas’s leadership, the resort aims to strengthen its position as one of Bali’s most distinctive luxury destinations, offering guests memorable, place-inspired experiences.
