Indonesia’s Independence Month is celebrated at The St. Regis Jakarta with Kanvas Rasa: Indonesia in Ink & Sugar, a limited-edition afternoon tea experience created in collaboration with renowned Indonesian contemporary artist Eddy Susanto. Blending art and gastronomy, the experience pays tribute to Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage through a unique culinary journey.
Inspired by Eddy Susanto’s Sembilan Mata Hari Centhini, a contemporary interpretation of the classic Javanese literary work Serat Centhini, the afternoon tea reflects the stories, traditions and flavours of the Indonesian archipelago. Executive Pastry Chef Kevin Lee has created a selection of sweet and savoury treats that reinterpret traditional Indonesian flavours with a modern touch, with each dish inspired by the artist’s work.
Available from 1–31 August 2026 at The Drawing Room, Kanvas Rasa: Indonesia in Ink & Sugar offers guests a memorable way to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Month through art, culture and exceptional cuisine.
