Padma Hotels has partnered with Djarum Foundation to present a travelling exhibition highlighting the conservation of the Javan Hawk-Eagle (Nisaetus bartelsi), Indonesia’s national bird. Hosted across three Padma Hotels properties, the exhibition aims to raise awareness of one of the country’s most threatened endemic species while encouraging greater support for forest conservation.
Running from 28 July to 23 August 2026, the exhibition features informative displays, educational panels and conservation stories that explore the journey to protect the Javan Hawk-Eagle. Visitors can learn about ongoing population and habitat surveys across Java, as well as the development of the Java Hawk-Eagle Conservation Strategy and Action Plan (SRAK). The initiative reflects the collaboration between researchers, conservation organisations, government agencies, the private sector and local communities.

Found only on the island of Java, the Javan Hawk-Eagle is an important indicator of healthy tropical forests. However, the species continues to face serious threats, including habitat loss, forest fragmentation, illegal wildlife trade and human disturbance. Protecting its habitat also helps preserve biodiversity, clean water and other vital ecosystem services.
Through this travelling exhibition, Padma Hotels hopes to introduce more guests and visitors to the importance of conserving Indonesia’s unique wildlife while promoting greater appreciation for the country’s natural heritage.
The exhibition will be held at:

- Padma Hotel Bandung – 28 July to 2 August 2026
- Padma Hotel Semarang – 4 to 9 August 2026
- Padma Resort Legian, Bali – 18 to 23 August 2026
As a hospitality brand inspired by Indonesia’s natural beauty and culture, Padma Hotels remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote environmental awareness and help preserve the country’s biodiversity through meaningful partnerships.
