Mayapada Hospitality Holding has announced the opening of Holiday Inn Express & Suites Banjarmasin, the first IHG-managed hotel on Kalimantan under the fast-growing Holiday Inn Express brand.
“We are excited to open the doors of our hotel and JB Javabica Café, and welcome guests to experience our unique blend of smart comfort and convenience,” said Mr. Gordon Coutts, Owner Representative of Mayapada Hospitality Holding. He added that this marks the group’s tenth hotel in Indonesia, with properties located in Bali, Jakarta, Solo, Batam, and Surabaya.
The William Tandiono Complex, part of the Mayapada Group, is strategically located in Banjarmasin’s industrial area, South Kalimantan’s largest city. The hotel provides premium hospitality with comfort, convenience, and connectivity, just 29 minutes from Syamsudin Noor International Airport.

Designed for smart and straightforward travel, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Banjarmasin offers a comfortable stay for modern travellers. The hotel spans floors 17 to 21 and features 130 bright, modern rooms, including 40 Standard Rooms (21–25 sqm) with queen or twin beds, 70 Studio Suites (31 sqm), and 20 spacious Family Suites (39–49 sqm) with a separate living area, dining table, and kitchenette. All rooms offer high-quality bedding and a choice of soft or firm pillows for a restful night’s sleep.
Guests can enjoy a hot breakfast at JB Javabica Café, with both dine-in and grab-and-go options available. Snacks and drinks are also offered. For relaxation, a 24-hour fitness room is available for guests to unwind and recharge.

The hotel features a spacious boardroom, meeting room, and a lounge with a view, along with a ballroom that can host up to 3,000 guests. These facilities make Holiday Inn Express & Suites Banjarmasin a suitable venue for corporate events, meetings, and celebrations.
Guests can explore the lively Banjarbaru area and nearby attractions such as Waterbom Persona Modern and Pasar Terapung Harbour. They can also pick up local souvenirs, from traditional Batik Sasirangan crafts to popular treats like Amplang crackers and Kue Rangai coconut snacks.
