Bali has a new attraction, and this time it’s not about beaches. Located inside Taman Safari Bali, Marine Safari Bali is Indonesia’s newest eco-park, offering a full-day experience designed to entertain, educate, and inspire.

Combining conservation with engaging attractions, the park takes visitors through six natural habitats — from rainforests and rivers to coastal zones and deep-sea environments. It celebrates the planet’s rich biodiversity and encourages visitors, including Australians, to play a role in protecting it.

Marine Safari Bali Capybara

“Marine Safari Bali was created to make conservation exciting and accessible,” says Alexander Zulkarnain, ACT CMO of Taman Safari Indonesia group. “We want guests to leave not just amazed by the beauty of nature, but with a new sense of responsibility towards it. Every interaction, every show, every habitat is designed to inspire curiosity and care for our planet.”

Six Ecosystems to Explore

Marine Safari Bali features six zones, each highlighting a key ecosystem:

  • River Zone – Meet animals such as capybaras and learn about freshwater habitats.
  • Rainforest Zone – Discover 13 habitats featuring iguanas, tree frogs, and Burmese pythons, along with interactive displays.
  • River Monster Zone – See large and powerful freshwater species with unique prehistoric traits.
  • Estuary Zone – Interact with stingrays and cow-nose rays in touch pools.
  • Coastal Zone – Watch sea lions and Humboldt penguins and enjoy educational shows.
  • Ocean Zone – Explore stunning aquariums with over 10,000 fish from 300 species, including reef sharks and vibrant coral fish.

Interactive Wildlife Experiences

Visitors can enjoy hands-on encounters and activities, such as shark experiences, ray feeding, penguin interactions, and reef dives suitable for families. On land, guests can explore reptile pools, jungle walks, and feeding sessions.

The park also offers theatrical shows like Pachamaya, Samudraya, and the award-winning Varuna, blending art and storytelling to highlight humanity’s connection with nature. Families can also enjoy Coral Bay Water Park, a kids’ play zone, and a magical after-dark experience across the park.

“Each encounter has a purpose,” adds Alexander. “Whether it’s a child touching a starfish for the first time or a diver seeing a shark up close, these moments plant the seeds of awareness that grow into lifelong respect for our oceans.”

Conservation-Focused Mission

Behind the attractions is a strong commitment to conservation. Marine Safari Bali’s team of veterinarians and marine experts operate research and breeding facilities supporting endangered species. Ticket sales help fund habitat restoration, rescue programmes, and environmental education initiatives across the Taman Safari Indonesia network.
