Henshin proudly announced its success at the prestigious 2025 World Luxury Restaurant Awards, earning recognition in three categories. The restaurant was named Global Winner for Best Luxury Scenic Setting and Best Nikkei Cuisine, as well as Best Luxury Specialty Restaurant in Asia.
Perched atop the highest three floors of The Westin Jakarta, Henshin offers a distinctive dining experience that blends authentic Nikkei cuisine — a fusion of Peruvian ingredients and Japanese techniques — with an elevated bar and lounge atmosphere. Led by Chef de Cuisine Akira Oshita, the restaurant embodies the spirit of its name, ‘Henshin’, meaning ‘transformation’ in Japanese, delivering bold umami flavours and a perfect balance of taste and texture, all against the backdrop of Jakarta’s breathtaking skyline.
This latest achievement follows previous accolades, including being named among Asia’s Top 80 Fine Dining & Bars in 2024 and Asia’s Top 80 Fine Dining Restaurants in 2023.
Each year, the World Luxury Restaurant Awards honours venues that exemplify outstanding service, creativity, and guest experience, selected through a combination of public votes, expert evaluation, and industry recognition.
