ASHTA District 8, part of ASRI, partnered with Setali Indonesia, Andien Aisyah Foundation, and Nara Kreatif to host an Upcycle Workshop promoting sustainability. Held at Sekolah Anak Percaya in Rawa Bebek, North Jakarta, the event engaged 55 eager students in creative recycling.

Since January 2025, ASHTA District 8 has encouraged visitors to donate old clothes, which Setali collects and prepares for upcycling. In the workshop, Setali guides participants in transforming unused clothing into useful bags while teaching practical skills. The activity fosters creativity and highlights the importance of sustainability and responsible waste management.

This process goes beyond creating new items from old ones. It teaches the younger generation that everything we own can be repaired and reused. Each stitch and creative step taken helps protect the planet and reduce the impact of excessive consumption.

Alongside practical skills from Setali, the event featured sessions on sustainability, highlighting how small daily actions, like recycling and reducing single-use items, help protect the planet. In a warm and lively setting, participants gained new skills while learning the importance of preserving nature for future generations.
