Dolcevita – The Signature 500th Anniversary Cocktail
To mark the occasion, Disaronno has introduced a signature cocktail, Dolcevita, created by award-winning mixologist Patrick Pistolesi and his team at Drink Kong Bar in Rome. A modern take on a classic sour, it blends the rich notes of Disaronno, Rabarbaro Zucca, and whiskey with the refreshing flavours of lemon, pineapple, and agave syrup – a true celebration in a glass.
Ingredients:
- 40ml Disaronno
- 20ml Rabarbaro Zucca
- 15ml The Busker Triple Cask
- 20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 10ml Pineapple Juice
- 5ml Agave Syrup

From a Legend to an Icon
Disaronno’s story began in 1525, during the Italian Renaissance, when artist Bernardino Luini chose a local innkeeper as his muse while painting in Saronno. As a thank-you, she gifted him a fragrant amber liqueur – the origin of the Disaronno legend.
The secret recipe was rediscovered generations later by the Reina family, who passed it down through the years. In the early 1900s, Domenico Reina opened a shop in Saronno, and in 1947, ILLVA Saronno was officially founded. Today, Disaronno is enjoyed in over 160 countries, with a reputation for quality and tradition.
An Icon of Italian Style

Disaronno is more than just a liqueur – it’s a symbol of Italian elegance. Its unique bottle, featuring a square cap and crafted from Murano glass, became an icon in the 1970s. In 1999, it was even displayed at the Louvre in Paris as a design masterpiece.
Known for its smooth, versatile taste and distinctive almond-like aroma, Disaronno is perfect served neat, over ice, or as a key ingredient in beloved cocktails like the Disaronno Sour and the Godfather.
Honouring the Past, Toasting the Future
Disaronno’s 500th anniversary is a celebration of its legacy and a toast to the years ahead – continuing to inspire with the charm, style, and taste of La Dolce Vita.
