City Management PIK 2 of Agung Sedayu Group proudly presents By the River Film Festival, an immersive open-air cinema experience and part of the cultural celebration initiative in the PIK 2 area.

This festival is a collaboration between PIK 2 Go and Film Keliling, supported by Nugroho Adi Putranto, Deputy Division Head of PIK 2 Township Management. It aims to introduce the green open space, Greenbelt PIK 2, as a viable, comfortable, and inspiring ecosystem for community interaction and cultural celebration.
The By the River Film Festival, held over two days from April 25 to 26, 2025, features four specially curated films curated in collaboration with the Film Keliling community.
The film screenings are complemented by film discussions, local culinary offerings, and interactive activities at dusk, surrounded by lush trees and the tranquil atmosphere of the Tahang riverside at Greenbelt PIK 2.

On the first day, Friday, April 25, the festival kicks off with the screening of Tant que le Soleil Frappe (Beating Sun), presented by Institut Français Indonésie. This is followed by the film Eksil, accompanied by a special discussion session with renowned director Lola Amaria, moderated by Kharisma Nur Maulida (PIK 2 Strategic Planning & City Branding Head) and Mahadi Asman (Publishing Director of Film Keliling), representing PIK 2 City Management and Film Keliling, respectively.
Lola Amaria shared her excitement about Eksil being part of the festival, saying:
“This film is a blessing in disguise to have come this far and received so much enthusiasm, considering that documentaries are usually difficult to gain widespread acceptance. I am also very happy that Eksil can be part of a popular festival like By the River Film Festival — I’m so happy!”
— Lola Amalia, Producer, Writer & Director of “Eksil”

On the second day, Saturday, April 26, audiences will be treated to the film Les Malheurs de Sophie (Sophie’s Misfortunes), again presented by Institut Français Indonésie. The festival concludes with the iconic film Murder on the Orient Express, in collaboration with Filmbankmedia.
This festival serves as an appreciation of cinema as a medium of expression and social dialogue.
By combining the local work Eksil by Lola Amaria with selected international films through collaborations with Institut Français Indonésie and Filmbankmedia, By the River Film Festival aims to broaden audience perspectives and encourage cross-cultural exchange.
