Jakarta, Indonesia – August 9-11, 2024 – ArtMoments Jakarta returns with its highly anticipated annual art fair, set to captivate art enthusiasts and collectors at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel. This year’s theme, “Renewal,” delves into the multifaceted concept of renewal in human life, encompassing personal growth, social transformation, cultural rejuvenation, technological advancement, and environmental sustainability.
The event kicks off with an exclusive VIP preview on August 9, followed by a public showcase from August 10 to 11. Visitors will experience a diverse range of modern, contemporary, and new media art from leading national and international galleries. The fair will also feature curated art tours and a series of engaging discussions on topics such as “The Challenge of Media Art Ownership,” “The Relevance of Curatorial Direction in Building Your Art Collection,” and “RENEWAL: Art Today and in the Future.”
Adding to the excitement, a charity auction will be held in collaboration with the S. Sudjojono Center, alongside a special dance performance by Heri Dono, renowned for his critique of the New Order government and his status as the first Indonesian artist to break into the global art scene in the early ’90s.

Aboudia’s First Solo Show in Southeast Asia
A highlight of the event is the first solo exhibition in Southeast Asia by the renowned American-Ivorian artist Aboudia. Known for his dynamic and expressive paintings that blend street art aesthetics with traditional African influences, Aboudia’s work captures the energy and complexity of urban life in Africa. The exhibition is presented by Ethan Cohen Gallery, which has a rich history of representing emerging and internationally renowned artists.
ArtWonder Collaboration
This year’s fair also features ArtWonder, a new media art collaboration showcasing modern creations from Indonesia and its sister cities. This initiative highlights the innovative spirit of contemporary artists, merging technology with creativity to offer fresh perspectives on art.
