Art Jakarta 2026 Returns to JIExpo Kemayoran This October

Art Jakarta, Indonesia’s leading contemporary art fair, will return to JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, from 2–4 October 2026, bringing together galleries, artists and art communities from Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.

Following Art Jakarta Papers and Art Jakarta Gardens earlier this year, the flagship fair will feature 75 galleries, including more than 30 international galleries and 19 first-time participants. The growing programme reflects Art Jakarta’s continued role in connecting Indonesia’s art scene with the wider regional art market.

“Art Jakarta has now developed into one of the most dynamic art fairs in Southeast Asia,” says Enin Supriyanto, Artistic Director of Art Jakarta. With Art Jakarta now taking place three times a year across its three formats, the platform aims to provide opportunities for artists, galleries, collectors and other art professionals to meet, exchange ideas and build new collaborations.

The 2026 edition will feature special presentations from returning Lead Partners Julius Baer, Bibit and Stockbit, Treasury and BCA. Highlights include Julius Baer’s collaboration with artist Handiwirman Saputra, Bibit and Stockbit’s installation by Endry Pragusta, Treasury’s presentation with Treasury Art Prize winner Etza Meisyara, and BCA’s myBCA District One experience.

The fair will also feature collaborations between brands and artists, including Agnes Hansella with iForte and Protelindo Group, Aji Fajar/Palette Studio with TACO, Mai Yokoyama with ALCHEMIST, Darbotz with Djournal, and Paul Smith with MINI.

Returning sections include SPOT, which explores alternative approaches to exhibiting art; SCENE, showcasing artist collectives and collaborative practices; and AJX, featuring partnerships with international institutions and cultural organisations. Korea Focus will return for its second year with 14 galleries from South Korea.

New this year, SCOPE will introduce MTN Market, presenting emerging art fairs and local art communities from across Indonesia, including Mini Art Malang, Artists Art Fair, ART HEY, Maa Ledungga, Hello Goodbye Photo Market and Watercolor Art Fair.

Together, the programme offers a snapshot of contemporary art across Indonesia and Southeast Asia, while strengthening connections between artists, galleries, collectors and the wider creative community.

Tickets for Art Jakarta 2026 are available from 17 September 2026 exclusively at artjakarta.com.
