Raffles Jakarta invites guests to slow down and enjoy a refined afternoon tea through a special collaboration with Room4Dessert Bali. Titled Sweet Afternoon at Raffles, the experience brings together award-winning pastry chef Will Goldfarb and Raffles Jakarta’s Executive Pastry Chef Putra Anom.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to heritage, craftsmanship, quality, and warm hospitality. Founded in New York in 2005 and later relocated to Bali, Room4Dessert is now recognised for thoughtful desserts that highlight local ingredients and a strong sense of place.
Each creation in the afternoon tea uses carefully sourced Indonesian produce, from Kusamba sea salt in Bali to Sulawesi vanilla. The approach emphasises sustainability, local farming communities, and traditional wisdom, encouraging guests to reconnect with food, culture, and origin.
Chef Putra Anom reinterprets Chef Goldfarb’s island-inspired desserts through an artistic lens influenced by Indonesian painter Hendra Gunawan, adapting them to suit Jakarta’s urban sophistication while preserving their original character.
