Galungan Day 2026

Galungan is one of Bali’s most sacred Hindu festivals, celebrating the triumph of good over evil and the return of ancestral spirits to Earth. Held every 210 days according to the Balinese calendar, the celebration brings families and communities together for prayers, temple ceremonies, and traditional offerings.
In 2026, Galungan will take place on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, followed by Kuningan on Saturday, 27 June 2026. During the festival, Bali’s streets are lined with beautifully decorated penjor bamboo poles, creating a vibrant and spiritual atmosphere across the island.
